READING THE ARCHIVE

Be curious.
Keep the distinctions.

Inheritance describes documented concepts and practices. System is our analysis of their structures. Future is the project’s speculative reading. A technological analogy is an invitation to imagine; it is not evidence that a historical practice was a modern machine.

A / Documented
Established in scholarly or institutional literature. This does not mean every community uses the same explanation.
B / Context dependent
Regional, lineage-specific or contested. Mixed A/B records include both established and variable elements.
C / Open research
A lead requiring further corroboration and practitioner-led inquiry. Not presented as established historical or scientific fact.

These grades describe the research record, not the value of a tradition. Sources are starting points for reading, not substitutes for the people who hold the knowledge. Restricted traditions are represented through public context only.

Edition 01 is a desk-research collection. Practitioner review, permissions for community-held material and further fieldwork remain ongoing work.
